Chandrapraksh Dwivedi started his career with theatre as Writer, Director and Actor; followed by a landmark television series Chanakya which he scripted, directed and also acted as Chanakya. Chanakya received all major awards for creative excellence.
His quest for ancient and knowledge tradition of India found echo in Upanishad Ganga (2007-2009) a television series produced by Chinmaya Creations which he directed, and wrote with Atul Tiwari and Farid Khan.
His other works in the past include Chankya, Mritunjay, Chatrapati Shivaji on television and the movie Pinjar which won two National Awards. His search for exploring cinematic potential in literature made him adapt and direct Mohalla Assi
